45 Gap

Hello
I have been curious lately about the 45 gap rd.
Whom ever owns a glock 37,38 or a 39 please send some opinions my way. (good or Bad) thanks.

I'm thinking on the mid size 38 if I get one. I would most likely add it to my carry rotation. The reason I am leaning towards the 38 is simply the size. All though I carry a full size 1911 or a glock 21 now. All opinions would be very appreciated.

You all have a great day!

I have 2 friends on my local GA forum (one is an LEO) that really like the .45 GAP. I trust their opinions as they are experienced pistoleros and not the posers that tout the superiority of everything Glock.

These folks are both 1911 fans as well and they give the .45 GAP a thumbs up. YMMV

Here is the BOTTOM LINE:

You can't get ammo just anywhere. It's also more expensive. Is the 45 GAP worth the trouble, money, and inconvenience???

Not in my book! Stay with main-stream AMMO & WEAPONS.

The GAP was conceived to give .45 ACP ballistics in a 9/40 frame size. The problem was the smaller slide did not work right so the GAPs are small frame guns with fat slides.

Finding ammo can be a problem.

During the ammo crunch here in GA, .45 GAP was one of the few things that was on the shelf. I would not personally add another caliber; however, the folks I know that own them like them...

If you are sold on the .45 GAP round, check out the Springfield Armory XD line. They have a model chambered in .45 GAP and gives you an alternative to a Glock if you are open minded about such a purchase.

Kuster you seem as die hard for the XD line like any Glock guy is about Glocks? JMO
