After a lot of research Ive settled on the gen 4 g19. Hopefully I will have her Friday depending on how my pay check looks. 380 brand new with night sights and 3 mags (Leo discount). The gen 4 just looks more streamline and feels better in my hand. The spring issue/controversy is no concern for me (yet). Eagerly waiting until Friday... Gonna be a Longgg week

I went with a Gen4 G23 a year ago then got a Lone Wolf 40-9mm conversion barrel. Really the best of both worlds. I also have a Gen2 G22 and Gen3 G27 and like the earlier generations but would buy the Gen4 today. Not a big enough difference to sell the older versions and replace though, why take a chance when you already have a reliable gun that you trust.

One nice thing, the 9mm conversion barrel also works in the G27.

I have a gen3 G19 and love it. I personally will get a gen 4 down the road. Only ONLY Glock ive seen on youtube with a few problems extracting the spent rounds on lower quality ammo was. Gen3 G19. It spits them out pretty slow so sometimes caused a stove pipe. Now again, this was a few vids ive seen and it was cheap ammo. Just sharing what ive seen

I have about 400 rounds through my Gen 4 so far and it has had a few stovepipes. I think that spring will loosen up after a few hundred more rounds and shouldn't be an issue. Actually saw the Glock guy stovepipe on video on his first clip using the Gen 4. Didn't stop me from buying it. He said that had never happened before. Yea.....sure Mr. Glock Guy.

Was playin' w/some snap caps the other day and noticed my thumb on the support hand riding up along the rail. That might be what caused those stovepipes.
