When the police do arrive, only state that you were in fear of your life and
you families lives, then shut up, looking freaked out by the incident helps, not
screamin psychopath freaky, just really shaken up freaky, which you will likely
be anyway so no acting is need, unless you are a combat vet.

Depending on local laws he may or may not "need" to have a weapon, even here in Illinois, if he is in your house, and not invited in that is sufficient.

Well, the first thing I would do if you feel he is really a danger to you is to document his threat and file a report with the Police just to CYA in case you have a future incident with him. After that, I would just be very careful and make sure I did not get involved with him in any way possible. Just live your life and be happy!

Just remember that in California if the guy gets a RO against you , the cops will take your firearms and you will NOT be able to buy more.

Always start a paper trail with your local LE when threatened. Documentation is almost as important as ammunition.

Be sure to list WHY he made the threats. You can dicument that you have knowledge that is is a violent person and that puts you in reasonable fear for your safety, and take his threats seriously.

Then of course....keep your eyes and ears open.
