My first thought on seeing the story on the Nightly news was how far the instructor was to the side of the girl, almost in front of her. Seems like he should have been experienced enough not to get close to the muzzle with a petite beginner behind the trigger. He should have been behind, helping her hold on to the Uzi.

Look closely at how she held the firearm on single shot.

That is screaming that she has zero experience.
