The NRA and several other LE trainers put on the "Tactical Patrol Rifle" course for law enforcement, and are pretty easy to find. There are some like Steve Moses (shotguns and ARs) and Paul Gomez (AKs) who put them on for civilians... and I've seen people travel from North Carolina and Colorado to Texas to take their courses. They're not as easy to find. A lot of people don't like putting them on because you get your "Mall Ninja" types who show up and "know more than the instructors"... very disruptive to a serious class.
For example: I worked at a range where Gomez taught an AK course, and one of the guys showed up w/ a 10" Krinkov. I didn't see a tax stamp with that weapon... but he was the only one there with a NFA weapon and thought he was above everybody else because of that. His was the ONLY "negative" end-of-course critique, but was quickly discounted because he showed his ass and everybody knew he was an idiot.
"Civilian classes" are out there, you just gotta look harder. Here's a couple of links for ya:
