Shooting in the house will definitely be loud, but you won't notice it. My idiot step-brother was demonstrating the grip safety on his new Colt Commander many years ago. He forgot to remove the round from the chamber. As he put a new hole in his bedroom floor noise was the last thing on my mind.
When he woke up he did comment on how much easier it was going to be to run cable TV to the bedroom. He was also able to hear my apology for zealously disarming him. The only thing he did right was point the allegedly empty firearm in a safe direction.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.
Buckhunter, I made me one of those Bedside holster, I am a wood worker and I took some pieces of oak an cut them to size and put 2 pieces together and then took a piece of tin and bent it to the shape and put it on the wood pieces and got me a nylon holster and put the holster on the wood pieces and now I have a Beretta 9mm right at my hand an really works good.
