Tactical Edged Weapon Course

Course Description
This course will cover some of the basic history and uses of edged weapons, legal overview and basic attacks / defenses of the knife. Students will learn basic strikes, movements and defenses with the edged weapon and will then combine these skills with handgun tactics.
Safety is always our number one concern and although it is not expected that anyone will fall, you must be advised this is a HANDS-ON class and there are NO mats - train how you fight. Please wear clothes suitable for real life training (such as you would to a tactical firearms class like BDU's, jeans ect.)
Needed
SCT will provide all of the training aids for the edged weapon class. Please bring 150 rounds of ammunition, your unloaded handgun, strong side holster, eye and ear protection (sunglasses and / or prescription glasses are suitable).

Instructor Biography
Jeff Anadon
From 1988 to 1997, Jeff served in the 82nd Airborne Division and Special Forces (Green Berets). He has attended Airborne, Air Assault, Special Forces Qualification Course, Infantry, Machine Gunner Leadership Course (M-60 Gunner), Mountaineering, Arabic Language School, Jungle Operations Training, Tank Commanders Qualification Course and other military schools. He fought in Panama, Desert Shield/Storm, and on special operations. Thus earning many awards and medals, including a Combat Infantryman Badge and Combat Parachutist Wings.
After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, he started martial arts training with Professor Muro from 1997 until approximately 2007, when he started training with Grandmaster Arthur Gonzalez in Decuerdas Escrima. He has been studying with him for the past few years. Currently, he ranks as a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Goshin-Jitsu Chow-Hoon.
As a police officer Jeff Anadon has been chosen to represent his Department as a Defensive Tactics, ASP Baton Instructor, Field Training Officer, Driving Awareness Instructor and as a Special Operations Unit Team Member. He has worked in plain clothes and uniformed assignments throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
