Ouch!!!!

Well I just got word my grandson just shot himself in his left hand while 'manipulating' his new Glock 23 Gen4!:(
The bullet passed through the lower part of the hand missing the metacarpal and it would appear the only permanent disability may be some nerve damage affecting his left little finger.
I live 900+ miles from him so I have no details about this.
When he got this gun I warned him to be VERY careful as Glocks are single actions without any active safeties. I hope he learns from his mistake.!!! :o

Sorry to hear that Jim, hope his hand recovers fully

Sorry to hear, hope he recovers soon! Just a good lesson to keep the booger hook off the trigger.

Roger that, thanks. I HOPE he learns something from this. Kids, don't just love them. :D You can tell them about the mistakes you made, and even show them the scars, and they just don't learn. They have to go out and make the same silly mistakes we did!!!!;)

Damn! Painful lesson at that.

My condolences. I hope your grandson is alright.

But this is a training and safety section. It occurs to

me that this has nothing to do with training, or safety.

Doesn't this belong in the Glock Section? Maybe we need

a separate "glock accident" section?

Booger hook,:D I like that. But the 'booger' would kind of make it a little slippery would it not???? ;)

Maybe. But what I saw here was a mistake which resulted in an unsafe act with an injury.:)

Jim,

Sorry to hear about your grandson! We will be sending prayers his way that is causes him no prolonged issues and he heals quickly. Obviously as you mentioned, seems it could have been much worse. Keep us informed!
