I'd rather my own son see me die on my feet as a free man, than watch him go, broken, into slavery.

Hits to the head man... Did you see the pics I posted of the back of my head? I can't remember much these days. Between concussions and the amazing things that have happened to me in my life, the undamaged parts just seem crowded as hell in my memory banks...

Couple that with ADD, divorce, and trying to keep my kid acting right... It's a wonder I don't forget to zip DOWN before a head call...

Wait a minute... Damn it.

I just had to chuckle at the ever changing MOS post. I went from 91B to 91W to 68W in what seemed a short span of time and was a medic the entire time.

'operator' has its origins from the specwar community. SEALS were considered the operators, who were involved with actual operations. they were the ones operating in an area of the mission. they performed the task.
i was in air operations. thus, i was involved with the air ops side of things. i operated in the air.
techs, were the guys that supported operators.
hope this helps.

Ok, went the LGS the other day.
A guy who obviously knows nothing about much, was asking about an Operator gun. He wanted a dressed out AR-15.

The LGS guy took him off to the side to show him a bit about the AR.
The standard M4 configs didn't do it for the guy, he wanted the dressed out RRA at $2400, but couldn't afford it.

He really knew nothing about much, but knew what he wanted.

He wanted that Operator gun.
