Actually there is another gun shop in Belvidere, I forgot all about it but I purchased my stripped lower there. It's called the Hunting Hut, they don't have a range on premises however they have to shoot somewhere right? The shop is a little on the smaller end but they have a decent inventory of new toys to check out.

Winds of change... another day? I can pretty much go whenever.

Pscho, Love the Hunting Hut! An aquaintance works there and they are so nice and helpful! Want to keep my biz local and buy from them, but I have to try out some guns first! Getting antsy, ready to buy, have the $, but dont know what gun yet!

I got your PM. I see a road trip in my near future. I have never been to the Hunting Hut. We could visit there. We could also go shooting at The Bullet Stop. I'll bring my guns for you to try.

Made it to Bullet Stop and took the class taught by Jeff. Well worth it, I learned a lot and feel pretty comfortable handling handguns now.

Psycho I did in fact shoot a Springfield xd 45. Not an m though. I actually shot the 45 best, nice cluster. Funny, the bigger the gun/caliber the better I shot.

Good to hear!! I probably won't be able to meet up with you until after the holidays. Busy with holiday stuff and dealing with a medical issue of my own right now. My life should be much calmer after January 1st. I very much look forward to meeting you.
