Winds of change and Angry canary - we should have a girls meetup at a local range and/or shop! I really need a hobby during the day, my boys are all in school now!

Jon m. Thanks again for the offer. I will keep that in mind, have to stay local for a couple weeks, grandma's memorial -
busy planning

Winds of change, my Dad belongs to Sycamore Sportsman's Club, he loves it! Took him 1 1/2 yrs to get in though. He took my 2 oldest there to shoot last week, indoor and out. They have a few hundred acres.

I am in Loves Park too. Bullet Stop is a nice place to go and get information. I am not a huge fan of their indoor range. Pine Tree has a pretty nice indoor range but it's a little expensive and you can only shoot handguns and some .22 rifles. I am currently trying to get into the Beloit rifle and Pistol Club which as you can tell is in Beloit. It's outdoor has pistol, rifle, black powder, shotgun, and cowboy action ranges. So far it's the most versatile that I have seen in the area however I am still one sponsor short to get in this year (you need 2) but if I can get in I would be glad to show you and your husband around up there.

Can you give a link to the Beloit Gun Club? Whenever I got o Bullet Stop, I hook up with Steve, who has always been so eager to help me whenever I go there. I suppose I should look closer at the Sycamore Sportsman's Club but it's membership is quite pricey. But I think I would shoot more if I had a place to go that I really liked.........preferably outdoors.

Steve is a great help, he's the one that was able to locate a Springfield Range Officer for me. There isn't a phone number for the Beloid Rifle Club but here is their website Beloit Rifle Club By the way if anyone is reading this that happens to be a member and would like to sponsor someone please let me know as I just need one more. The problem is I am on call for work fairly regularly and can't make it to the montly meetings to get to know more people. But hopefully their website will give you a little more info Winds of Change.
