Man, that is making my arm tingle.
All of us get careless, hurried, and make mistakes.
Hopefully your pain will save a lot of others
similar grief.

update
Just to update: my arm has healed very well, aside from the scar and the constant thoughts of the event and the bill collectors calling, there are NO side effects. No sudden tingle, pain, discomfort or any of the likewise. Its almost as if it never happened. By the grace of God, I have 100% usage, feeling, mobility and dexterity. Yet this does not deter my drive to tell my story so that it may in turn save some one else from injury or death. Thank you all for the warm wishes to recover and to those of you who took the time to add a few extra words to your daily prayers.

Glad to know you're okay. Looking at the picture just reiterates the point that I always unload before I even begin talking to someone, and lock the slide back out of habit so that I always know it's empty.
Just glad the bullet didn't do more damage.

1)-Chicks dig scars- just tell them you got it while
defending the family. You've been 100% truthful here,
so we'll all understand.
2)-Practice safety drills till they're reflexive, muscle memory.
I pray,(as do all others here) that I'm never injured in this manner.
Enjoy the weekend. Looks like good weather for a change.
