I looked at that on another brand of safe that was compatable. Maybe a few inches of self space. It was the door panel that got me to upgrade to the Franklin from the Colonial. There is a kit that you can buy for the Colonial that would hang from a rod. There is 8 pistol pouches 4 zippered pouches a net pouch and 20 12 ga individual cartrige hoops. Any loss is more than made up for by the amount of storage on the door panel imo.
Anyone in the market for a safe should start out at a box store then find a locksmith that carries Liberty, Cannon and other American made safes. Another reason to buy from a locksmith that has been in the business, if you ever have a problem, you call the people who can fix it. If you do decide on a Liberty, be sure to google "Liberty promo codes". It saved me 75 at purchase and I mailed off another 75 dollor rebate today.
