I am a current resident of California and from what I understand you are allowed to have your guns loaded with one in the hole as long as they are behind closed doors and within your home. My home defense guns are loaded 100% of the time and on safety.

Can you carry a firearm loaded with in your home?
Why would you want to. ? Its bad if someone feels they can't relax in their own house without carrying a firearm.

Does it have to be lit?

Well, since the question DID arise from California...............

I'll leave it to a Californian to answer that.

You have never heard of a "Home Invasion Robbery"? These happen all the time in GB. As things get nastier, this may be the ONLY way to "relax".

And Oklahoma.

We've got poultry and goats, and the woods are full of things that love the taste of chicken. I have a gun on me just about every time I step out the door anymore. And since the road literally ends at the gate to our driveway, I have one no more than a few steps from me in the house.

Could you carry it openly and concealed?

Its very rare. If i didn't feel safe in my own house i would move. Having a firearm in the house OK carrying it around the house no i will take my chances. If someone is that concerned about something bad happening why get out of bed you could trip and hurt yourself.

In Ca. you can mow your lawn while strapped with one in the pipe. It's your home! If you go camping, you can walk around YOUR campsite carrying because while there, it is considered your home.

Manta, here in the states, home invasions are a common problem. Sometimes when I come home I will not take my firearm off 'til I go to bed. Do I think I will ever be targeted for a home invasion? I don't know but I will not be a victim.
