I'll weigh in real fast on 'stopping power'-its what you hit,not what you hit it with-that counts.

I read somewhere once that the physics of small arms were such that the projectile,being weighed in grains -compared to the mass of humans being weighed in the hundreds of pounds- depends almost entirely on velocity to achieve any significant effect,that effect being penetration and actual tissue damage.
I'm comfortable with a .32-if it can go in one side and out the other.
