What is the importance of shooting with dominant eye when it comes to pistol, rifle and shotgun shooting. Both eye open or just one? Is it okay to shoot with non dominant eye?

It's hard when your left eye dominant and right handed. I have to hold a handgun at 10 to 11 on the clock to shoot w both eyes open.
W rifle it's harder, sights must be adjustable and you must close left eye or use tape or some dot for obstruction.
Ya it does suck:l with handguns I shoot isosceles stance and just turn my head to align with sights.
Hard to pick up skeet w one eye...
