Default Beware the phoney body armor

A guy in Florida has been caught selling phoney body armor. Nice guy.

I say we don him in his vest and put him in front of a firing squad.

Seems to me if someone were to get shoot wearing one if his vests and died from the incident he could and should be charged with some sort of murder charge. I know it would never happen but.....

it may not happen, but it would be appropriate for it to happen.

Yeah, the armor was purchased by security guards, bondmen and jewlers. I think more than one went to dope dealers and general gang bangers. Wearing body armor has become a fashion statement.

I read somewhere that in World War I or II , life vests bought by the government had to meet a minimum weight, so some crooked company added lead to the life vests and got caught .

Another scandal involved a fireworks company that made hand grenades with only 2/3 the required explosive charge . They also got proscecuted.

I wonder if the guys who sold the counterfeit Point Blank vests kept sales record, credit card records etc. that would enable authorities to find and warn the victims ...
