Default Bad Idea: Tracers at the range

An indoor range was destroyed by fire because tracer ammo was used.

At the ranges I go to if you fired one tracer round you would be immediately
thrown out and would probably have your membership cancelled.

Most outdoor ranges won't allow tracers due to fire hazards, why would someone fire one indoors? Oh never mind ...

Aw crap. You could rent a full-auto Uzi at that particular range. They had tons of rental guns. I hope they re-open. I was planning on trying out that Uzi someday.

The problems didn't stop there; flood waters also washed through the building. One person was injured.
sounds like it was a blessing in disguise...

if they rebuild they will likely have to build to some sort of safety codes this time heh

My Dad told us stories of "fire-fighting exercises" when their National Guard unit would hit the range; it seems there were always some tracers in the mix.
