It sounds good, but that quote has been misapplied to Admiral Yamamoto for years.

Thanks guys for respond. In return, I'll tell You a story.

In February this year in Warsaw, capital of Poland, about 10AM a bus stopped at bus-stop. Drunken teenager picked up a trashcan and threw it into bus' window. The glass shattered. One man stood up - a policeman after duty. He showed badge and called the teenager to calm down. On the bus-stop, there was also second teenager. He had knife, he killed that police man. This kid was 18.

Now the best bit: policeman had no gun, because in Poland law forbids policeman to carry a weapon after duty. They have to leave it at police station.

Murderer is still (we have October!) pending to be trialed. He may get 25 years, lifetime with some luck (for us, normal people - in Poland there is no capital punishment for murderers). After that incident, in polish media serious storm started. You know about what?

"Carrying knifes should be forbidden, just like in other European countries".

You don't know, how lucky You are, You live in USA

Sheeple are stupid!! It should be a reality show on television!!

Ban guns, then it will be safe!
Ban knives, then it will be safe!
Ban clubs, then it will be safe!
Ban shovel handles, then it will be safe!

Ban yourself back into the stone age and people will attack and kill each other with their bare fists!

It is a social behavior problem, not a choice of weapon problem!! Those teens would not have confronted that policeman if they had thought for one moment that he might have been armed with a gun!

Some quotes to remember:

"Security through superior fire power."
"God created man, Sam Colt made them equal; more or less."

Are tasers or electrical stun guns popular there or does everyone just carry a sock filled with coins?

Tasers or electrical stun guns - not under 18. So if You send daughter to disco, she has to carry coins.
Nunchako and crossbows are illegal too.

Of course, criminals don't give a damn about laws. Few days ago some crazy guy walked into a one of the major parties' office with a gas-gun customized to use real 9mm bullets. He shot 8 times one man, and stabbed dozen times second one. One dead body, one guy in ER.

One of the parties (Socialist Leftist Alliance) stated, that "all firearms should be illiegal, including the ones with already given permissions".

I can't say either way, wasn't there when he was quoted.

If you are that sure, ya might want to email these people, (quote #6) can't have something like that being repeated if its that obviously wrong.

Isoroku Yamamoto Quotes

Thanks for setting history straight. Ken
