I did that and everything went back together okay. But the thumb safety apparently didn't seat correctly, even though it went back together. I'll try it again after I get another coat of finish on the parts I scratched.

The parts that needed it are now re-coated and baking in the oven.
I hope I can get it properly reassembled. I surely don't want to take a "bag gun" to the gunsmith's.

Ah yes, the wonderful "bag of shame" as my local gunsmith refers to it.
Seems he's had a few people try and take guns apart and they cant get them back together. Yours wouldnt exactly be a bag of shame since you can get it back together and its something else.
Hope it turns out a'ight.

Get yourself a set of Navidrex Micarta stocks and paint them a solid color. Brownells GunKote would do those hex head screws well, too.

Thanks for the compliments. There were a ton of mistakes in that coating. It was also one of the first ones I ever coated.
