Default P22 slide fade help

I have a P22 its 2 years old and its never been fired by me and it was bought used ive had it in a safe the entire time and i noticed after a couple months the slide has a weird shade of color and where it says walther or P22 is almost completely faded is that bad?can it be undone? ive attached a pic so you can understand and im the kind of guy were this little thing bugs me

It looks dry. A coating of oil will likely even it out for you. Blued and Phosphated steel will lighten up as it dries out.

I agree that oil will help the looks-but there is no steel in that slide!

Is the front sight loose. In your pics, the sight does not look like it is "flush" with the slide.
