Default Nickel plating

Be sure and take it to a professional plater who is familiar with firearms. It has to be copper plated first and then nickled. A decorative plating firm will not do it correctly.

Carbon steel does not have to be copper plated before nickel plating. None of the major firearms manufacturers use copper underplating. I do plating, and I don't use an underplate.
