Sorry if this isn't in the proper section or if this has been covered, but i couldn't find anything when searching. I was just wondering what the best way to stamp/engrave my makers mark into a lower receiver. It has to be 1/16'' tall and .003 deep. I just received my type 07 FFL. I dont plan on "manufacturing" very many guns so i would like a cost effective yet professional looking solution. I am mainly going to be building a few ARs for family and acquaintances. I have done a lot of research and am curious about electro-chemical etching? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Am NOT a manufacturer (am collector) but please check.

Stamping may be required for some cases rather than engraving or etching, Mechanical stamping creates a change in crystalline structure of metal- grind it off, lab can restore it. As I said, I do not know- any manufacturers on here know? If not, call to ATF Firearms Tech Branch over in WV.
