Can you post a pic?

For a small scratch, you may be able to get some touch up paint. Put in on, and quickly wipe it off, leaving "just enough" to fill the scratch.

That's why I was asking for a pic. Depending on the depth of the scratch, you may be able to buff it out with jeweler's rouge.

If that scratch is only in the black oxide coating as it appears, you may be in luck. If the scratch is down into the metal, that would probably be a LOT more difficult to fix. Hard to tell from the photos, though.

A screwdriver??? WHY??! Keep your tools away from the kimber!!! :D

Yea tell me about it. A mistake I'll never make again!! The scratch is light and I do not believe it has gone into the metal .

My fingernail does not catch the scratch... If that description helps to provide a better idea of the depth of the scratch

Just get a stiff bristle brush and some hoppes #9 and scrub it out.

What were you use a screw driver there for?
Pull the slide back to line up the notches and push from the other side then grab with finger and remove the pin.
