you just have to understand that painting anything is all about prep. with a gun, you need to degrease every single square inch of every part that is being painted. then rough it up and clean it again. good luck

What grit for roughing it up? 600? Anything more seems it would be too slick for it to bond.

i acutally used something similar to a scotch brite pad. i bought a kit from duracoat and it came with a degreaser, a single 4 oz. container of one color of duracoat, the sanding pad, as well as a sprayer to apply it. all for $30. it's enough to do 4 guns they say. i found it's more like 2, but i do about 2 coats on my guns.

just so you know though, the sprayer thing on the right can be found at home depot for around $7.

very easy, i majored in product design in college though. i had to build all sorts of functioning scale models for my designs and paint all them. needless to say, in 4 years of that, i got very good at figuring out how to prep certain materials to take paint. the hardest part about it was reassembling a weapon that i had never assembled before, but i figured it out.

i'm in the process of deciding what base color i wanna paint my 700P and then i'm gonna repaint it. it's just krylon painted now.

i wear a size 14, my toes will show up in a picture of the moon
