First things first... Your P07 does NOT have a painted surface. Most modern firearms sporting a matte finish like your P07 are a form of parkerizing. The only way to remove this finish is through media blasting. My suggestion would be to find a local gunsmith that also specializes in refinishing firearms and go from there. I'm assuming you want to remove the finish so you can have a polished bright finish rather than the matte finish you have now? Typical cost to have your P07 put the way you want it will cost about $100 TO $150 possibly less if you disassemble it yourself and send the parts that need finished to the shop doing the work.

Forget that! Vinegar and a scotch bright pad will remove the finish. After that get some mother's mag polish and buff that sucker out. Clean rag or t shirt cut up and apply the polish, rub it in until you start to get black. Then take another clean rag and wipe it off. Do that in front of the tv for like an hour and it'll be nice and shiny! Just did it to the barrel on my lc9.
