Default Custom Plating Question

I'm thinking about getting my 1911 chrome plated. It currently says "Desert Eagle 1911" on the side of the slide. Will that get covered up when it gets plated or will it still be there. I admit I have no clue how custom plating works.

No, the plating is very thin and the roll marks will still be there.

If the plating was thick enough to fill in the roll marks the slide would not fit/operate and your S/N would be gone.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!
