Checkering the whole stock

You certainly would not want checkering where you lay your cheek against the stock!

That is a ton of tedious work for no reason. Well done checkering should accentuate the features of the stock and be functional.

It probably has been done before, but I don't know of any pics. It would serve no real purpose other than sanding off your cheek. :eek:

Yeah don't blame you. I think I'd get about a quarter of the way through and I'd be thinking about turning the tools on myself. Lol
