Bear Coat, Hi Power
First post! Not new to forums but new to this one! So "Howdy!".

Just wanted to say that I sent in my Browning Hi Power to get Bear Coat (Teflon-S coating) with Rocky Mountain Arms. Even though I live in Longmont, I had no idea these guys were local to me. The enamel finish on this great piece doesn't hold up to begin with and it was getting pretty worn and it was ready for, well, something. :o

So now I wait. Should be back in about 10 days and of course I will be sure to post some pics of how she turns out. Decided on a two tone to match my AR.

"The Waiting Game". My least favorite game.

So I just got the Hi Power back from Rocky Mountain Arms in Longmont. If I get around to setting up some other type of online storage, I'll try and embed the pics into this post then but for now, check out the pics in the Dropbox Gallery <-(link). I think it came out fantastic. Really flawless and perfect coverage without having that "spray on buildup" of the Duracoat. I can't speak to the durability of the finish since I just got it but it looks practically new.

I'm not a fan of the color layout, but you should get back to us in a few months about the durability of the finish.

To each their own I guess. Looks a little mustardy but it's a lighting thing I guess. The color compares to Magpul FDE but a few shades lighter. Thus far I'm putting it in a IWB leather/kydex style holster. Kydex isn't easy on gun finishes but I haven't found an all-leather version quite as comfortable. It's in and out of the holster often enough that it'll probably be shiny soon. Guess we'll see.

I like it. I think you need to give us a pic of this special lady along with the AR.
