Attempted Digital Camo Today
2 Attachment(s)
Alright guys, being laid off I have had alot of spare time on my hands when my 3 yr old isn't keeping me busy. So i thought i would try something new.I had an extra stock lying around for my yugo sks and I've been wanting to try out my artistic abilities by painting some digital camo. I really wanted to put it on on my Marlin XL-7 but i thought it'd be smart to do the spare for my sks and see how well it looks first. So, approx 8-10 man hours later here we go. I think I did decent for a first attempt, to critique my own work I think next time will need smaller squares. And you probably can't see it in the pics but some didn't stick too well, so a little paint ran over on to other colors. ...oh and I won't be laid off for too much longer, gonna be moving to Dalton, GA around Feb. 8 for a new job, pretty excited about that.
Equipment used: Krylon Khaki-first coat Krylon Olive Drab-second Krylon Brown- third Krylon Crystal Clear Flat-protectant Razor knife For the stencils I used wax paper and the painters tape. |
I would change the title from "Attempted" to "Succeeded"!
Great job Bulldog. +1 on the smaller squares for the Marlin. http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/v...ons/cowboy.gif |
