Any ideas to re-blacken aluminum?

I have a Winchester 1200 shotgun with an aluminum receiver. I have tried all the store bought products (mostly Birch-wood Casey) and some industrial versions, but I just can't achieve a uniform dark black finish. I have the surface prepped perfectly and ready for degreasing and blackening. Does anyone have any recommendations or know somewhere I can send it to be done professionally? Any helpful information would be GREATLY appreciated!

Alumahyde or Dura Coat is easiest for the home user.

Birchwood Casey aluminum Black is simple and works well.

My vote is Dura-Coat. Done many alloy receivers with great success..
