These knives are a slipjoint type folder with a revolutionary new spring system that knifemaker Tom Ferry developed. It has quite a bit more snap to it than the old versions that most of our grandfathers carried. Also the new spring is called the EVERFLUSH Spring due to the fact that the spine of the folder never rises when the blade is rotated. The spring is all internal and for the most part hidden. Blade Magazine just did a great write up on it in the April 2012 issue also. The folder is named the T-1 model and is available in either a 3-d contoured Blue and Black G-10 or in a smooth sided Lightning Strike Carbon Fiber. Both have a D-2 Tool Steel blade, which is going to hold an edge better and out cut most all factory knife steels. Plus D-2 is almost Stainless so corrosion is not of a great concern.
If you would like to order one of these models let me know ASAP.
