Default Handmade Flint Knapped Obsidian Blade Knife with Special Elk Antler Handle

Crafted by Randy Porter, who has made and sold hundreds of knives, this one-of-a-kind functional work of art features a 5 1/8-inch blade. It is 1 inch at its widest point, dark green/grey and was flint knapped by lithic artist Kenny Hull of Timberline Art, Sequim, WA. He is known for his sharp, paper-thin edgework, unique even flaking and close attention to detail. His blades are collected internationally. The blade is permanently attached to the elk antler handle with industrial strength epoxy. It also is secured by a precise wrapping of dark brown sinew which gives it an an authentic appearance. The handle has been specially treated, finely sanded, polished and fitted with a fancy wooden end cap. For Forum members, it is $60 with free shipping in the U.S. For Supporting Members, take an additional $5 off. Contact Randy at rp50817@windstream.net, or call 402-443-4947 or 402-304-1422. It comes with a seven-day, money-back guarantee. Buyer pays return shipping. While the knife could be used for field dressing game or other cutting, it is recommended only for display.

Looks wicked.

Ron, do you ever get obsidian blades with a drop point?

Default obsidian blades with drop point

Yes, I can get obsidian blades with a drop point. You generally have to special order them. I don't see too many on eBay or on the websites that sell obsidian blades.

Default flint

How about arrow heads. Not the glass ones I see in the souvenir shops. Those made from flint or obsidian. I am a Native American descent with a Grandfather who is full blooded Yaqui. I have made from hides I tanned, a complete costume of my Grandfathers people and also a bow and quiver. I need some arrow heads for my arrows, but do not want to take genuine artifacts from our land.

I'm going to list two more obsidian blade knives. I hope one of them pushes you over the edge.

You can buy flint knapped obsidian arrow heads. There are several websites that offer them. One is called something like "obsidian arts." Another is Kenny Hull's Timberline Art. There's also a store known as "Neolithics." You'll have to Google their names to find their respective home pages.
