DefaultCustom built AR-15 $995.00

This is a brand new custom AR-15 Built by a class 3 dealer who specializes in AR-15 builds. This gun is built on a Yankee Hill Manufacturing (YHM) Lower. Yankee Hill makes top quality AR's and sound suppressors. It also features a 5 position stock, Mil-spec trigger and upper, 16" wilson medium heavy barrel, and a flat top with rail. This is a nice build. There is some very minor wear on the barrel surface do to handling(see pictures) but nothing that would stop me from buying it. I think the barrel is surface is duracoat. get one while you can. I am a dealer and it took me 5 months just to get one! By law I have to ship the gun with the upper and lower disconnected. No California sales. To view visit my website; Rimrock Firearms - Online Sales of pistols, rifles, shotguns, and Accessories and look under rifles.

Who makes the upper and what is the twist rate on the barrel?

Might help those who are interested....

The barrel has a 1 in 9 twist and the upper was assembled by CMT(continental machine tool).

It's a YHM Lower, but is the upper from Continental? Or is it another brand?

Conventional Wisdom for anyone who is interested:

For an average bullet weight of 55 to 62 grain, the most common, I would recommend the 1:9 as it will yield SLIGHTLY better accuracy.

Correct, a YHM lower and a CMT upper.

Sounds like a fair deal, if I hadn't spent the family fortune on magazines
for my currrent AR's and Glocks I would jump at it!

Curious---What is the law that requires the upper and lower to be
disconnected for shipping? Do they have to be shipped seperate,
or just apart in the same box? First time I've heard of something like
this.

Since this gun was assembled from different parts you need a manufactures license to sell it. I only have a Federal firearms license.
