I would have a topographic map of my bug out location, so i can get around.

Water is heavy and will take up too much room in your BOB, I know from experience, unless you live in the Southwest or a nuke hits us, you should have one or two canteens and one of these:

Katadyn Exstream XR Purifier Water Bottle - 27 fl. oz. at REI.com

Save your room for more food.

Man there are sure a lot of water filters out there to chose from! I saw this yesterday in a post somewhere ther SteriPEN. This is pretty cool. They do mention prefiltering the water but you can do that with bandana or shirt.

clothing .. water pur system .. 10 day supply mri .. first aid kit . cleaning kit for ar . ammo .. triangle tarp . 550 cord . . mess kit . fishing kit . baklava .. scarf . gloves .. in my B.O.B mm maps are on my hip tac holster thigh pocket , 45 already in holster . multi tool in belt , on the molle pockets more ammo .. on the bag machete cold steel , compass and the water reservoir.. rifle on front .

if i had space , a bottle of 151 great to forget and good with infections , bag weights 46 lbs , there is also a field knife and roll up on the bottom portions and a tactical knife ,

I would have to add a protractor for the map, it helps with land nav when you can profile the terrain you will be traversing.
