It would appear that a worldwide food shortage has begun. It seems that some people have already died in clashes over the shortage of food. Heads up!!

The only real solution for troubles like this is to execute the tyrants running those countries. There is plenty of food in this world. We've already seen in the last century that most famines are engineered to destroy political opponents.

Agreed.

Hopefully, the idea of taxpayer-subsidized ethanol production will die soon so farmers will get back to growing food. (I'm not saying ethanol production is the cause of any shortages or rising prices, but it has the potential to cause these problems.)

According to the fear-mongers of the 1970's, we should all be under half a mile of glacial ice right now. The self-proclaimed intelligentsia of the day said we were in for a disastrous ice age that would wipe out crops, make folks chilly, and cause general mayhem.

Precisely. We went from living in the Ice Age and having to dodge Saber Toothed Cats, to Global warming to the point of eminent incineration, and hardly anyone noticed.

Maybe the "Food Shortage" is a ploy to hike up the prices of food? I mean, they hike up gas prices until we use food for gas. Why not hike up food prices? We can't use antyhing else for food, but food.
