"The Road" was scary. The book even worse...
I'm still wondering what the catastrophe was in that story though...

I really don't have an issue with that.

I cannot think of one that would have the infrastructure or materials wealth
to do it. Maybe China... but they do not have the Navy to support the effort,
and if our economy and the EU collapses so does their's.

Well I know there's a lot involved in theses situations. But come on, really?

" ok we'll drop JDAMs into there power plants, tv stations, and anything else "expensive" and use us tax dollars to rebuild it. All in favor..."

There is no word that explains how stupid this way of thinking is.

I don't either Shade. I know for a fact that many of the tribes in Afghanistan consider little boys to be good sexual recreation.

They need to die.

Well with no farming, read no food, and it looking dark/overcast makes me think comet/nuclear winter. Maybe Yellowstone volcano thing. Dunno.

I'm a block from the ocean, about 60' above the high tide mark. The earthquake fault is 15 miles off shore.

That's what I thought too. And with the flashbacks of the Main Character waking up in the middle of the night with the fires...Filling the bathtub like a man that knows what he's doing.
It was hard on the guy in the movie and he had a survival mindset.
of course it was a movie too.

I saw the trailer for the movie AFTER I saw the movie and the trailer seemed to elude to some sort of natural disaster was showing tornados flooding other calamities right before the next sequence in the trailer where as the movie didnt really show any cause . but that was one bleak effin movie. I dont see how a book could've been much worse. I hope I dont survive whatever caused that aftermath.
