Oh, there's no argument.....I like and wish I had both. My buddy does, and he sometimes uses both at the same time.....

I haven't used my gas grill for many years, been using charcoal and a couple of years ago got a Traeger.

This is a Traeger http://www.traegergrills.com/
They are pellet fueled smokers. It is really cheating in a way, but they make some of the best smoked and slow-cooked food I have ever had. They are not by any means a "prepper" grill since they have to be plugged in, but damn they make great eats! I say that while we have all of these modern conveniences there is no reason to live like a caveman!

Nice. How is that cheating? Because it uses electricity? So, get a solar panel to run it! Ultimately, who cares, as long as the food tastes good.........

Its cheating as far as survival and sustenance is concerned. As long as I have some electricity I will use it (and I do have solar ).

I'd say that's not cheating at all. Solar is self-sustainable........does the food taste better when it's cooked W/O grid power that probably cost more than the actual food?
