Scratch do you know where i can get one lol i have been looking for a good dirtbike and this fits the bill! plus it would be great for the mountains of east TN

Kawasaki KLR 650. I've tried to get Hayes to sell me the diesel version but they won't.

yeah i would want the diesel version tho. gas is great but diesel you just dont see that alot and since im active duty and all hopefully i can find one.

Like BomDoc said they're contracted by military but there are diesel conversion kits for KLR's, that's the way I'm going.

Really? Where did you find one? Hayes wouldn't sell me the motor either. I'm on the list to buy the civ HDT Motorcycle if it goes public. I'm active Military as well. I made sure they were aware of this when I contacted them. I don't believe the bikes were even contracted. Tested yes, but probably not contracted.

Options to convert the KLR are slim. Yanmar, Iveco(maybe) and most easily available option is Briggs. Yanmars from refer units I've seen on Harleys but no chance one of those will fit in a KLR.
