Some people spend their money on boats, others on world's end. If it is their money, who cares but libtards?

I don't really prep but we are power shoppers. Both my wife and myself were raised by people with a depression mentality. We buy cases of canned goods when stores have those once or twice a year sale. Same thing with box dinners. I can make jambalaya with game just as well as sausage or shrimp. I love dried beans. We eat a lot of dried beans, rice and cornbread. Every year or so we go a couple months without buying groceries just to eat up the stuff we have before it goes out of date. We could stretch what we have for six months in a bad situation. In a SHTF situation the only thing I would miss is my brisket and cabbage.

Well no one ever expected the disastrous floods we had here in Colorado this past September.Power was out ,clean drinking water and sewage system was unavailable in many locations. And many people were cut off from services due to damaged and washed out roads.
Unfortunately ,disasters also bring out thieves and looters so having something to protect your property and your family is crucial. But fortunately,it also brings out the good people and the kindness of people through donations of clothes, shelter, food and water and volunteers. It also really helps to have a good Sheriff. Our Sheriff was awesome keeping everyone updated during the floods and working with the National Guard for rescue and recovery efforts.

We stock up on pinto beans, eggs, potatoes, and flour.Flour to make tortillas and flatbread bisquits. And they sell milk that needs no refrigeration .Keeping non perishable foods like Powerbars, granola bars, beef jerky, and even protein drinks like Ensure.
We grew up poor and knew how to survive. We were also taught how to can our own food.

Fine. Don't prepare for zombies, but when you're up to your ass in the living dead, don't complain to me.
