What do you do for work? I spoke with a park ranger at Moosehead Lake years ago who, in the winter months, worked on the EMT squad. She told me there is no shortage of winter snowmobile accidents when the snow converts the trails into Interstate Highways.
RL357MAG - an ounce of AU a day is pretty good...maybe it's time to dust off my pan and get on up there to Nome , Cripple Creek , or a close vicinity... and do some panning.....
I found gold in a stream which runs down the So. side of Katahdin. It is marked by a sign on a white cross that reads "The Unknown River Driver". There's a picnic area with a natural water slide in that section I was sitting in, and I collected a small amount by scraping it out with a knife from a quartz boulder that had a tiny vein running through it. I'm sure the West Branch Penobscot has gold also - maybe not as much as in Ak., but I'll bet there is enough gold in the rivers and streams in Me. to make some money.
