If you're planning on getting electronics I'd suggest getting them now before their prices skyrocket due to the disaster in Japan.

Pulled out my army issued surplus geiger counter, prepped and calibrated it, radiation exposure monitoring badges, and the full NBC MOPP suit.....just for sh!ts and giggles.

Just bought more 25 year shelf life food and bulk rice. I need to figure out the best way to store the rice and other stuff like wheat, oats & legumes I am also gathering.

I'm using 5 gal. mylar bags with 2000cc o2 absorbers sealed in a bucket. Bags are cheap on amazon.

Food stores...

Found a great price on fresh green beans today, and picked some up for canning. Already have some put away, but will add more due to the better price found today.

Also, picked up some fresh okra and will pickle that.
