If I had a helicopter that would be my choice...one big enough for all my stuff!

Jeep. Reliable, rugged, and plenty of them to find available parts.

Mate whatever it takes to get out of a nasty spot or to put it in the words of "OddBall" from Kelly's Heroes:

1982 Chevy Blazer with the removable top. 350 small block, msd ignition, crane cam, edelbrock intake, 750 edelbrock carb, heddman headers, 4 speed muncie, np-205, 12 bolt rear, 10 bolt front, 3.40 gears, 31x10.50x15 tires.

Mainly because I already have it. Only problem is I have to drag a gas station around with me. But it will go just about anywhere and pull my 26 foot travel trailer in places most people wouldnt take a truck by itself.

Actually this is my escape into the wilderness if need be.
It's a 2003 model 6 cylinder 4.2 litre diesel Toyota Landcruiser cab chassis 4wd.
Got a steel bullbar,Mean Mother winch,UHF,2" suspension lift kit, dual battery system with a plug in the back tray for a portable fridge to be plugged in,tow bar. I use it for fishing with a12' tinnie tied to the back or use it for spotlighting or for getting to some tough places to hunt or for just 4wding. It has 2x 90 litre tanks.
It's no speed demon but it'll sit on 100kph(60mph) all day and it'll tow my camper trailer no worries at all.
