I would have to say my 12ga. It would dispense of anything, or anyone, swift and sure.

Bet that M1 is going to do a number on squirrels, rabbits and any other rodents we will quickly be down too!

odd as it seems I have some rounds loaded with 110 gr short jacketed bullets - they don't cycle the action but have thumped a few bunnies -

I was thinking the same thing. Good for hunting everthing from rodents to bear. It's my understanding they work really well on two legged varmints too.

Default Love my AK-47 Yugoslav

I would without a doubt prefer my YUGOSLAVIAN AK-47(7.62x39) for survival situations with anything from blackbears to crackheads! It is modified for full automatic and carries a 72 round drum-clip that would give people nightmares. I was very interested and agree with the threads about the 22LR being an awesome survival rifle. The Marlin 22LR with the 16 shot semi-auto cylinder would be my choice for survival in 22LR.

LOL if you are talking about the M1 Garand .30-06 or the .308 your rabbit would definitely be torn in half. For this i would use the Ruger Mini-14 .223 which is large enough to kill elephants but in FMJ would punch a clean little hole through a rabbit or squirrels.
