Default Water Purification

WATER PURIFICATION INSTRUCTION

THE NEED FOR FRESH, DRINKABLE WATER IS YOUR # 1 CONCERN, OR AT
LEAST, IT SHOULD BE! NEXT TO AIR, THIS YOU CAN LIVE THE LEAST
AMOUNT OF TIME WITH OUT! WATER HAS MANY DRAWBACKS, IT'S HEAVY, A
PAIN IN THE A-- TO STORE AND WE CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT, RIGHT?
WATER STORAGE CONTAINERS SHOULD BE YOUR # 1 PURCHASE ONCE YOUR
SET IN THE WAY OF SHELTER AND WEAPONS! WITH OUT THEM, YOUR
EXPOSED AND IN A TIME OF PANIC, PEOPLE WILL TAKE YOURS AT
GUNPOINT! EVER WATCH CNN WHEN THE FOOD/WATER SHORTAGE HITS ONE OF THESE third WORLD COUNTRIES , THINK IT CAN'T HAPPEN HERE? THINK
AGAIN!

WATER USAGE DEPENDS ON YOUR MAKE UP AND ALSO VARIES WITH YOUR
EFFORTS AND HOW HOT THE AMBIENT TEMP IS AT THE TIME!

MANY SURVIVALIST WILL USE NORMAL REGULAR chlorine, 5-10 % THIS IS
A LIQUID SOLUTION AND MAY BE USED TO TREAT THEIR WATER. THIS AT
A RATE OF 5 DROPS TO EVERY 5 GALLONS OF WATER WILL WORK, YET,
THERE ARE BETTER AGENTS TO USE! IT'S SHORT SHELF LIFE SEEMS TO
BE IT'S MAJOR DRAWBACK!

1. CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE: 65-70% (HTH) THIS IS THE PREFERRED
AGENT BECAUSE IT COMES IN LONG LASTING GRANULAR FORM AND HAS A
LONG TERM SHELF LIFE. THIS IS EASILY AVAILABLE FROM POOL SUPPLY
STORES IN 5, 10, 20, 50 POUND CONTAINERS.

3. PROCEDURES FOR CHLORINATING WITH HTH

A. FIRST MAKE A SMALL AMOUNT OF HTH CONCENTRATE BY DISSOLVING A
MEASURED AMOUNT OF CALCIUM HYPOCHLORITE GRANULES, STIR THE
MIXTURE THOROUGHLY. ADD ONLY THE CLEAR SOLUTION TO THE MASS WATER STORAGE CONTAINER.

SEE TABLES FOR THE RECOMMENDED USAGE!
