I live in an area that is prone to ice storms.I`m thinking of suplimental wind power.Does ice stick to teflon?

Not well, but some. Concerned about blades being unbalanced from ice buildup? Mr Jacobs, who ran the company that made the Cadillac of wind generators in the 40s, solved that by using a 3 bladed prop, which prevented ONE blade from hanging down, and getting more than it's share of ice. The blades were wood, painted with aluminum paint. Teflon coating should be slicker.

I've given up on the wind mill after some research,just not practical.

I have a couple of solar panel arrays, one on the garage to charge my old S-10 truck converted to battery/DC motor.

I use a home built wind generator to 'Finish Charge' the batteries and that seems to work well.
