I can't think of any instance where I'd want to fight with a sword. I'm not trained. If it got to that point, I'd be so screwed. Maybe a better way would be to -RUN!!!- way before you needed a sword.

A long rifle with a bayonet is more like a spear or pike to me. If zombies come a stumbling I want as much space as possible.

Yeah, I will be right there with you running. I mean I know my slender 5'4" frame is pretty intimidating but...yeah I'll totally be running.
