DefaultSurvival Canines?

How many of you have a survival canines? Trained for any of the following?
Personel protection, advanced obedience, early warning, sentry work.
I like the feeling of being able to get a good nights sleep knowing my dog is on the job.

Both my dogs are naturally pack oriented, and both have had basic on and off leash training. They definitely are not going to stay silent, or stay put with danger close, but I like my odds with them around.

Between the two boys and the two family dogs I am good. The training has been minimal, only one dog is really dangerous to interlopers and I know when people try to come onto the property. Having a dog trained like you say would be a very serious legal problem if it happened to bite somebody. One of my dogs is naturally protective yet she is also a darned good family dog. But God help you if you walk into the house if you don't live here.

A dog would benifit for a while, and if push comes to shove they can become the evenings meal
