I used to be a die hard myself, but the costs got crazy. I just couldn't justify $100 in gas for one day of fishing, not to mention the cost of the boat. But I do miss those 70mph rides at daylight in the spring and the anticipation of just knowing you're about to slay them.

Yo yo reels are inexpensive and very effective. Can be used for their intended purpose or as a snare . Cheaper than dirt has them for bout three bucks I think . They are very versatile. I keep a couple in each survival / bob bag I have
