Come to think of it, there aren't many veggies I outright dislike.
Usually when people say they hate a particular vegetable, they really hate the way it was prepared. Until a year ago, I hated brussel sprouts. No way, no how could I swallow one of those slimey green turds that taste like dishwater left over from the 16th century. Then, a friend showed me if you cut them in half, drizzle a little olive oil and kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper on them and roast them, they're fargin' delicious!
I like broccoli ('cept the stalks of course). And I LOVE Brussel Sprouts which, until a coupla years ago, I thought grew in plastic mesh baskets with cellophane rap held by a rubber band.
Roasted with a little olive oil, salt, garlic and a few flecks of shreded bacon they are ADDICTIVE. But just well cooked with a little salt, or not, is just fine too. They can't be crunchy or hard -- ignore that part as it is also bitterish unless properly cooked through. Peel the outside leaves off, slice off the cut bottom and score it with an 'x,' then cook.
I find when I eat I always go to the vegetables first. I'd probably be happy living on olive oil painted grilled vegetables and bread. Don't get me wrong, there is always some kind of dead animal on my plate if I'm having a meal that is on one. And the funny thing is I HATE vegetarians themselves...
BTW, Kim says she'll never willingly eat Brussel Sprouts or liver.
